The study concerns the construction of a new three-storey building of 5 apartments with two basements, an attic and swimming pools in Kifissia.
The architectural proposal is based on a play of light and shadow. Through the intersection of the volumes, the gradation of voids and fills in the facades, the creation of recesses in the volumes, the separation of the residences, the shading of the outdoor spaces and the strengthening of the building’s bioclimatic function are achieved. This dynamic tumor is enhanced and highlighted by the use of the color white.
The use of new and innovative cladding materials for the facades contributes to the realization of a building with superior energy efficiency and at the same time minimal maintenance, while natural materials such as pumice stone and terra cotta are chosen for the cladding in direct contact with the interior spaces
